The lovely Jen + Cat are starting a not-for-profit organisation, aiming to help people live their lives based on their personal values. Bringing individuals and groups together to change the world one piece at a time. They were after an image to help promote and strengthen their proposal for the organisation.

They drew inspiration for the organisation from this beautifully animated clip from Dirt! The Movie. Wangari Maathai tells an inspiring tale of doing the best you can under seemingly interminable odds.

After establishing a detailed outline of their goals and vision, I researched the hummingbird and related charitable organisations. The hummingbird is a perfect anology, as the birds pool their resources for the greater good before dashing off again to go about their daily lives. A handwritten logotype portrays the unique approach Hummingbird takes to assist or solve an individual's dilemma.
